This is a very old kit, dating from 1955, and somewhat crude by modern standards, but with a bit of work should make up into a nice model.

There are some serious shortcomings. The first is the solid moulded guard rail round the hull and upper decks. So the first job is to remove this - it will be replaced by etched rails later. The photograph shows part of the main deck with a section already removed. The rail around the deck house between the hatches will also be removed.
