The old Airfix body had previously been detailed, but further improvements are being made during conversion to P4. The replacement brass chimney and safety valve bonnet can be seen in this picture, along with the auto train linkage and brake pipe on the buffer beam, The steam heat pipes have still to be attached. I have also cleaned up the replacement smokebox door from the previous improvement, and added this exquisite smokebox door handle, which came, with the other refinements, from the Iain Rice kit, marketed by Mainly Trains.
