This is "Prince of Wales" at a very early stage of construction. The Tamiya hull has been cut down to the waterline and glued to sheet plastic. The white substance is Milliput, a two part epoxy filler, used to fill irregularities in the cut. The decks and superstructure were roughly positioned for the camera.
